Jealousy

Literary.. Jealousy defined as
a person's fears and anxieties around attention that they perceive is being given to or by someone else who is important to them.
yes, I can give one common example.. one woman might experience jealousy at the sight of her husband or boyfriend dancing with another woman. That's Jealousy... :)

jealousy as a single emotion, but actually it is a bundle of feelings that hanged together. Jealousy can output it as
  • anger
  • fear
  • hurt
  • betrayal
  • anxiety
  • agitation
  • sadness
  • paranoia
  • depression
  • loneliness
  • envy
  • coveting
  • feeling powerless
  • feeling inadequate
  • feeling excluded.
It helps to identify what is the exact mix of feelings you experience when you feel jealous. What is the primary emotion you feel when you are jealous?. Is it always the same for you or does the mix change from time to time depending on circumstances? For instance, one woman figured out that her jealousy was about 50% fear, 20% anger, 20% feeling powerless and 10% feeling betrayed. How nice. i also feel angry and powerless but not fear. I found some remarkable quotes about jealousy. unfortunately i don't know these guys.

In jealousy there is more self-love than love.
François, Duc de La Rochefoucauld, Maxims, 1665
The jealous are troublesome to others, but a torment to themselves.
~William Penn, Some Fruits of Solitude, 1693
For most of us, even if jealousy produces tremendous pain and distress, it remains an inner experience that does not cross the boundary into violent action. But anyone who has experienced intense jealousy is well aware of its power and potential destructiveness.
So I ended up with these six words "Envy is a waste of time".

Well..good post. What caught my attention was the picture you had used..!! :))
What you say is true. Envy/Jealousy is a waste of time, yet a very strong feeling that you can't get rid of easily. I have experienced it several times ;) and I am sure will experience it in the future also many-a-times...!! (sigh!)
On the other hand, a little bit of jealousy is good for a relationship, because "Jealousy denotes Love!"

True... my goodness.

Today, i felt alot of jelousy & envy. (It may even seem childish after I write it...)

I got so jelous of this guy and 2 girls that are friends. I like these 2 girls. And I want intimacy with a girl. Me and a male friend of mine: Brandon have been flirting with these girls. And usually it wasn't making me jelous...

But today, he was sitting next to one of them, so close, it was almost like she was sitting on his lap--- AARRRRRRRGGGHHH! So Angry.

Then, he went over to sit with the other girl I liked, and put his legs on her lap. And she let him. And he had his shoes off, and she rubbed his toes. AARRRRRRRGGGHHH! So Angry. Then, she touched his butt.

I was very filled with jelousy, anger, envy. All of the above.
